Food for Thought

Why did the elderly in hunter-gatherer populations remain virtually free of chronic illness?  I believe success leaves clues, so, let's investigate.  Think of the natives who lived where you live before industrialized, domesticated, white man showed up.  I call this race of humans Whitey.  Whitey showed up with what?  White bread, white flour, white sugar, white milk, and white doctors in white coats prescribing white pills.  The Whitey Plague, as I like to call it.  The hunter-gatherers did not die from the "Whitey Plague" they died from trauma, infection from trauma, or from starvation.

The Black Plague killed 30 percent of Europe, Chronic illness(diabetes, heart disease, obesity) is now killing 80 percent of the industrial world. Humans are now the sickest people on earth. The current system is NOT working. We don't need more presidential debates about who should pay for healthcare, we need to start debating about what kind of healthcare we should pay for.
We need to stop asking what chronic illnesses we have and how to treat them (diagnosis and treatment) and start asking why we are developing chronic illnesses and how to avoid them (wellness and prevention).
